Easter / Eostre

Easter is Pagan

Let’s start with some questions every that every Christian should ask but sadly don’t…

  • What does a Rabbit and Eggs have to do with Yeshua being resurrected?
  • How do you get 3 Days and 3 Nights from Friday evening till Sunday Morning?
  • In Acts 12 why is the word Pascha ( Passover ) replaced with the word Easter?
  • Where does the word Easter originate? What is its etymology?
  • Why is it tradition to eat ham for Easter when God calls swine an abomination? Does God change?

Why would man made traditions over rule the word of God?

The feast day of Easter was first a pagan holiday of renewal and rebirth. Honored in the early spring, it praised the pagan goddess of fertility and spring known as ‘Ostara’, ‘Eastre’ or ‘Eostre’. The word “Easter” finds its etymology from the goddess’s name.

Acts 12:3–4

“And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. ( Then were the days of UNLEAVENED BREAD. ) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after EASTER to bring him forth to the people.”

G3957 – Easter ( Passover )

πάσχα

PASCHA

pas’-khah

Of Chaldee origin (compare [H6453]); the Passover (the meal, the day, the festival or the special sacrifices connected with it): – Easter, Passover.

H6453 – Passover

פֶּסַח

pesach

peh’-sakh

; a pretermission, that is, exemption; used only technically of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim): – passover (offering).

Leviticus 23:4-5

“These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’s PASSOVER.”

The Old English deity Ēostre is attested solely by an 8th century monk named Bede, in his work called “The Reckoning of Time”, where Bede states that during Ēosturmōnaþ ( the equivalent of April ), pagan Angelo-Saxons had held feasts in Ēostre’s honour, but that this tradition had died out by his time, replaced by the Christian Paschal month, a celebration of the resurrection of Christ.

Second Witness

As it happens, another monk recorded a reference to Ostara which corroborates Bede’s claim. Einhard, in “The Life of Charlemagne” ( written in the 9th Century ), mentions that the month of April is known to the Saxons as Oster-monath (Ôstarmânot), backing up Bede’s mentioning of April as Ēastermōnaþ ( Easter month ).

The Anglo-Saxons in England were cousins to the German Saxons in continental Europe. They spoke a related language and practiced variations on the same religion. Ēostre to the English is the linguistic counterpart to Ostara of the continental Saxons. Both groups named the month that roughly corresponds with our April for the goddess whose festival was celebrated then.

Ēostre (Proto-Germanic: *Austrō(n)) is a West Germanic spring goddess.

The name is reflected in Old English: Ēastre; Northumbrian dialect: Ēastro, Mercian and West Saxon dialects: Ēostre), Old High Germanic: *Ôstara, and Old Saxon: *Āsteron.

Eostre is Asherah…

Ashtorah of the Old Testament is the one for whom poles were erected as signs of fertility. The Hebrew prophets spilled much ink condemning the the idolatrous worship of Ashtorah ( Isaiah 17:8, 27:9, Jereimiah 17:2, Micah 5:14 )

Also known as Ishtar, Isis, Inanna, Diana, Semiramis, Gaia, Astaroth, Venus, Artemis, Athena, Aphrodite, Frigga, Libertas, Durga, Hathor, Minerva, and even Mary to the Catholics under the guise of Yeshua’s mother.

They say she is the embodiment of the planet Venus, Inanna became the Babylonian Ishtar, and in turn the Canaanite Astarte. Her spirit eventually metamorphosed into the Greek Aphrodite, the Roman Venus, perhaps the Germanic Eostre, who may or may not have presided over the Inanna, whose name evolved into Ishtar in later Mesopotamian cultures, is known for a myth about her descent into the underworld and subsequent resurrection celebration that bears her name.

Linguistic Connections:

The word “Easter” is related to the German word “Ostern,” which also refers to the holiday of Easter. Some scholars also suggest a connection to the word “east,” as the sunrise and dawn are associated with the east, and the festival of “Ēostre” was celebrated at the beginning of spring.

Order of the Eastern Star – Women’s Freemason organization.

The phrase “Hêlêl ben Šāḥar”

( Hebrew for “shining one, son of the morning” ), found in Isaiah 14:12, was translated as “Lucifer” ( Latin for “morning star” ) in some older translations, but modern translations often abandon this translation.

Eastre or Ostara is known as the bringer of light after the Winter.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from Freemasonry luminaries. It is none other than the Babylonian goddess Ishtar, Isis, Athena, Juno, Minerva, Semiramis, the ‘Queen’ of heaven, a pagan goddess, the representation of the mother of harlots, determined to break free from God’s ‘oppressive’ sovereignty.

This symbolism can be especially strange when you consider the fact that rabbits don’t even lay eggs! But it all ties back to the concept of fertility, rebirth, and renewal as celebrated by the pagans. The sacred symbol of the goddess Eostre was a hare, and rabbits have long been considered a symbol of fertility due to their ability to reproduce quickly and in large numbers.

Eggs and Ishtar: In ancient times, people would decorate eggs in honor of Ishtar and give them as gifts during the spring equinox to mark the beginning of the agricultural season. These eggs were dipped in blood of sacrificed babies to Ishtar. This tradition spread to other cultures and religions, and in Europe people began decorating eggs during Lent, the period of fasting and repentance leading up to Easter.

The earliest known reference to an Easter Bunny was actually an Easter hare. The reference is found in a 1682 book by German Georg Franck von Frankenau, who links hares and rabbits with Christianity.

“An earlier tradition in Central Europe that this is coming from [the hare’s] association with fertility and the Virgin Mary,”. “Sometimes you see the paintings of the Virgin Mary, and you see a hare at one side of her.”

Acts 19:34–35

“But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is DIANA of the Ephesians. And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess DIANA, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?”

Jeremiah 7:15–19

“And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee. Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make CAKES to the QUEEN OF HEAVEN, and to pour out DRINK OFFERINGS unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?”

Proverbs 28:9

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the LAW, Even his prayer shall be ABOMINATION.”

Jeremiah 44:19

“And when we burned incense to the QUEEN HEAVEN, and poured out DRINK OFFERINGS unto her, did we make her CAKES to WORSHIP HER, and pour out DRINK OFFERINGS unto her, without our men?”

Hot Cross Buns are called by that name because they are usually served warm or hot on Good Friday with a cross in the middle of it.  The cross of course is said to represent the cross that Christ died on, however there is strong conjecture as to whether or not our Messiah actually died on a cross or a stake.  Why is that a big deal?  Because the cross has been a pagan symbol for thousands of years and is even said to represent Tammuz

Isaiah 66:3–4

“Yea, they have CHOSEN their OWN WAYS, and their soul delighteth in their ABOMINATIONS. I also will choose their DELUSIONS, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did EVIL before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”

Romans 1:22-27

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to UNCLEANNESS through the LUSTS of their OWN HEARTS, to dishonour their OWN BODIES between themselves: who CHANGED the TRUTH of GOD into a LIE, and worshipped and served the CREATURE more than the CREATOR, who is blessed for ever. Amen. FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up unto VILE AFFECTIONS: for even their women did change the NATURAL USE into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; MEN with MEN working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their ERROR which was meet.”

Deuteronomy 12:30–32

“take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire NOT after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”

Matthew 12:40

“for as Jonas was THREE DAYS and THREE NIGHTS in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be THREE DAYS and THREE NIGHTS in the heart of the earth.”

Many are deceived about Christ’s death and resurrection – did He die on “Good Friday” and rise on “Easter Sunday”? Since His ONLY sign as the Messiah was that He would be in the grave for “three days and three nights,” how does this tradition fit?

 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Friday evening until Sunday morning is only 1 Day and 2 Nights.

 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Professing Christianity has erroneously followed the Roman Catholic Good Friday-Easter Sunday tradition, rejecting the truth of Scripture. This tradition teaches that Christ was in the grave from late Friday afternoon, just before sunset, until Sunday sunrise. This timeframe includes Friday night, the daylight portion of Saturday, and Saturday night. This is clearly two nights and one day—not three days and three nights, as Christ promised as His only sign.

Matthew 28:1–7

“IN the END of the SABBATH, as it BEGAN to DAWN TOWARD the FIRST DAY of the WEEK, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is NOT HERE: for he is RISEN, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is RISEN from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”

Luke 24:3–9

“And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: and as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is RISEN: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the THIRD DAY RISE AGAIN. And they remembered his words, and returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.”

Mark 16:2–6

“And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”

Daniel 9:25–27

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall MESSIAH be CUT OFF, but NOT FOR HIMSELF: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a FLOOD, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall CONFIRM THE COVENANT with many for ONE WEEK: and in the MIDST OF THE WEEK he shall cause the SACRIFICE and the OBLATION to CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the CONSUMMATION, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

In western Christianity, Ash Wednesday marks a period of penance and fasting for 40 days leading up to Easter known as Lent. During the Middle Ages, egg painting became a popular tradition around this time as eggs were forbidden during Lent. It is said that people began to decorate the eggs and enjoy them when the fasting was over during Easter celebrations. The custom of painting eggs during Easter is still very popular across the world today because they don’t know the roots in the custom.

“Weeping for Tammuz” refers to a lamentation ritual for the Mesopotamian god Tammuz, depicted in Ezekiel 8:14 as women weeping for him at the north gate of the temple, a practice condemned as idolatry by the prophet.

Tammuz, also known as Dumuzi, was a Mesopotamian god associated with fertility and the cycle of death and rebirth, particularly in the context of the agricultural year.

The ritual of “weeping for Tammuz” involved lamenting the god’s descent into the underworld or death, which was believed to coincide with the summer months and the end of the agricultural cycle.

Ezekiel 8:13–16

“He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater ABOMINATIONS that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women WEEPING FOR TAMMUZ. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.”

Lent was never observed by Yeshua or His apostles. He commanded His disciples to “Go you therefore, and teach all nations…teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” [ Matt. 28:19-20 ].

And Lent or Easter was not one of them!

God did not design fasting as a tool for penance, “Beating yourself up” or developing will power.

Isaiah 58:5–7

“Is it such a FAST that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy BREAD to the HUNGRY, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?”

 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The Good Friday-Easter Sunday tradition distorts the truth of what actually happened. But what is the origin of this tradition? Since the originators of this false doctrine had no sound biblical proof or authority to fall back on, they resorted to fraudulent tactics to legitimize their fabrications. One such claim was that Hermes, the brother of Pope Pius (about the year A.D. 147) “had received instruction from an angel, who commanded that all men should keep the Pasch [Passover] on the Lord’s day [Sunday]”

Antiquities of the Christian Church, Joseph Bingham, p. 1149

The apostle Paul wrote, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Gal. 1:8). He repeats this same warning in verse 9. Instructions from an angel can never supplant God’s Word.

Apostolical Fathers, James Donaldson, p. 324

In some distorted twist, Sunday came to represent both the Passover as the time of Christ’s crucifixion and burial, AND the resurrection. However, since it was not logical to condense the events of three days and three nights into only one day, the idea of a Friday crucifixion was born. The above-mentioned letter from Hermes was used to validate the position of Anicetus, Pius’s successor, who disputed with Polycarp over the issue of transferring Passover to a Sunday. Trained by the apostle John, Polycarp held fast and taught the observance of Passover as Christ and the apostles had always done. Yet, the bishops of Rome had other ideas.

Thus, the letter from Hermes was either a forgery or it was deceptively written by Pius, who died just before Polycarp’s visit to Rome.

The bishops at Rome had decreed that they possessed the power to supersede and change the times and laws of God (see Daniel 7:25). They rewrote history and changed the order of events in order to introduce their false doctrines.

Their effort to change the day of the resurrection to Sunday was simply a continuation of the Babylonian tradition—that Nimrod ( father of the Babylonian Mystery Religion ) was resurrected on a Sunday. By A.D. 321, Roman Emperor Constantine established Sunday as part of the official state religion, thus legitimizing all the various traditions attached to that day.

 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Around mid-300AD, Christianity was increasing in popularity in Rome, then the centre of the world. In 312, the Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity and put an end to the ongoing persecution of Christians. However, he knew that just because he had converted, it didn’t mean that pagans would stop following their rituals and traditions. So he slowly started to adopt existing pagan rituals into Christian festivities. In 325 AD, the church council – known as the Council of Nicaea – first decided that Easter’s celebration should fall on the Sunday after the first full moon of the spring equinox. And thus Easter Sunday was born, and symbols associated with nature’s rebirth and renewal came to be associated with the rebirth or resurrection of Christ.

While Christmas was a celebration of the winter solstice, Easter was a celebration of the spring equinox for the pagans. Pagans lived their lives in strong accordance with nature’s rhythms and patterns, and solstices and equinoxes were considered to be sacred times. A solstice marks the longest or shortest day of the year, while an equinox symbolises the day when there is balance between daylight and darkness. This shows the end of one season and the beginning of another. In the northern hemisphere, Easter falls on the spring equinox, when winter is coming to an end and nature is experiencing a rebirth and renewal.

Why they gathered on the first day in Acts 20

Acts 20:6–7

“And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of UNLEAVENED BREAD, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. And upon the FIRST DAY of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

Word used for week is “Sabbath” in this verse for a reason.

G4521 – Week / Sabbath

σάββατον

SABBATON

sab’-bat-on

Of Hebrew origin H7676; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations

Pentecost and First Fruits are always on the first day of the week. This was First Fruits they were gathering for.

 – – –

In no place do we see Paul or any other disciple teaching them that they should come back the next day and join them for a “first day of the week service”. Rather, they went to three Sabbath services where there were both Jews and Greeks present. Thus, the the doctrine that says the Jews have their day ( the 7th day ) and the Gentiles have their day ( the 1st day) is no where in scripture.

After Nimrod’s death around 2167 BC, Semiramis promoted the belief that he was a god. She claimed that she saw a full-grown evergreen tree spring out of the roots of a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth of new life for Nimrod. On the anniversary of his birth, she said, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts under it. His birthday fell on the winter solstice at the end of December”

Jeremiah 10:2–5

“Thus saith the LORD, LEARN NOT the WAY OF THE HEATHEN, and be NOT dismayed at the SIGNS OF HEAVEN; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the CUSTOMS of the people are VAIN: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”

For the people who say that the Christmas tree does not fall up under the condemnation of Jeremiah 10. Let’s analyze the verses to find out.

Verse 2 speaks of the heathen being dismayed at the signs in the heavens. This is exactly what ancient heathen peoples did during the winter solstice time. They were dismayed at a fact within nature whereby Yah caused the sun to rule the day for a shorter period of time than any other day of the year. The heathens would bring into their homes pieces of nature ( specifically evergreen trees ) which symbolized life to them, in hopes of appeasing the

S-U-N deity to come back and bring them longer days

Verse 3 mentions cutting a tree out of the forest. That is not difficult to understand, and that is exactly what people do for Christmas.

Verse 3 mentions the work of the hands of the workman with the axe.

Some people point to this and say that it is speaking of some type of chiseling down the wood into a form. I know for certain that “Asherah trees” were sometimes planted and that they didn’t take on a specific idol image, but were just a representation of what the goddess Asherah stood for – fertility.

The phrase about the workman with the axe seems most likely to me to describe the man who cut down the tree out of the forest with the axe, and not to chiseling it into some type of image.

Verse 4 mentions decking it with silver and gold which is just another way of saying “they decorate the tree.”

Verse 4 also mentions fastening it with nails and hammers so it doesn’t move. This makes more sense to me to be speaking of a tree that has simply been cut down. A tree would need to be fastened so as not to topple. An image-idol could be carved in such a way as to stand up alone with no need of fastening it down to not move.

Fact of the matter is that that the heathens worshiped trees as idols! The modern day Christmas tree finds its origins in winter solstice celebrations of the heathen nations, thus the Christmas tree falls under the condemnation of Jeremiah 10, and all tree worship by heathens stems from ancient Asherah worship.

Your Christmas Tree is Idolatry

Psalm 135:15–18

“The idols of the HEATHEN are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; Neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are LIKE UNTO THEM: So is every one that trusteth in them.”

Ephesians 2:11–15

“Wherefore remember, that ye being in TIME PAST GENTILES in the FLESH, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;”

Acts 15:14–21

“Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, And will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; And I will build again the ruins thereof, And I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, And all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, Saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: but that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of IDOLS, and from fornication, and from THINGS STRANGLED, and from BLOOD. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every SABBATH DAY.”

Colossians 2:16–17

These are a SMOKE IN MY NOSE, a fire that burneth all the day.”

Isaiah 66:15–24

“For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his CHARIOTS like a WHIRLWIND, to render his ANGER with FURY, and his rebuke with FLAMES OF FIRE. For by fire and by his SWORD will the LORD plead with ALL FLESH: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating SWINES FLESH, and the ABOMINATION, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

Revelation 2:20

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman JEZEBEL, which calleth herself a prophetess, to TEACH and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”

Luke 22:14–20

“And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them, With desire I have DESIRED to eat this PASSOVER with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, I will NOT any more EAT thereof, until it be FULFILLED in the KINGDOM OF GOD. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: for I say unto you, I will NOT drink of the fruit of the vine, until the KINGDOM OF GOD shall come. And he took BREAD, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This CUP is the NEW TESTAMENT in my BLOOD, which is shed for you.”

Revelation 17:3–6

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: NOT FORSAKING the ASSEMBLING of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the DAY APPROACHING.

Matthew 7:13–14

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because STAIT IS THE GATE, and NARROW IS THE WAY, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
