What is the Gospel?

What is the Gospel that we are we supposed to teach to all nations as told in Mathew 28? You can ask any Christian and they will all have different answers. Some say 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Some will reference the just believe in the death, burial, and resurrection. Some will say we just have to confess that Yeshua is lord. Most mention John 3:16. When Yeshua came preaching the Gospel in Luke 4 he didn’t mention any of these things. You cant fully understand the Gospel without knowing prophecy and what he was prophesied to do. The New Covenant will only be made with the House of Israel and the House of Judah according to Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8 and most miss that detail. There are only 12 gates to New Jerusalem, one for each of the 12 tribes, once again a detail most miss. So how do we become Israel, how do we become grafted in to being Gods people? This is the most important question many don’t ask because of false teachings such as Dispensationalism. We have a document on that as well in the Biblical studies. Sadly most also don’t know that the Gospel was preached to Abraham. This is where we have to begin the story...

GOSPEL PREACHED TO ABRAHAM

Galatians 3:6-9

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of FAITH, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the GOSPEL unto ABRAHAM, saying, IN THEE SHALL ALL NATIONS BE BLESSED. So then they which be of FAITH are blessed with faithful Abraham.

So from these verses we see that the Gospel was preached to Abraham, every bit of this incredible story has to do with him and his seed. We see that if we are of the Faith we will be the Children of Abraham. We will define Faith later. Lets read a little farther in the chapter as it gives us more details.

Galatians 3:27-29

For as many of you as have been BAPTIZED into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye ABRAHAM’S SEED, and heirs according to the PROMISE.

So now we have gathered two requirements to become Abraham’s seed, one is Faith, the other is Baptism. Both of these we will cover what they truly mean. Now lets go to where God made his Covenant with Abraham, then will look at where the Gospel was preached to Abraham. This part will be a bit of reading because Genesis 17 is an imperative part of the story, Knowing to Covenant God made with Abraham and what the token of that Covenant was. And what promises were made.

Genesis 17

17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2 And I will make MY COVENANT between me and thee, and will MULTIPLY THEE EXCEEDINGLY.

3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 As for me, behold, MY COVENANT is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of MANY NATIONS.

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and KINGS shall come out of thee.

7 And I will establish MY COVENANT between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep MY COVENANT therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

10 This is MY COVENANT, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be CIRCUMCISED.

11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the COVENANT betwixt me and you.

12 And he that is eight days old shall be CIRCUMCISED among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and MY COVENANT shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken MY COVENANT.

15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish MY COVENANT with him for an EVERLASTING COVENANT, and with his seed after him.

20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 But MY COVENANT will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and CIRCUMCISED the FLESH of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

24 And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was CIRCUMCISED in the FLESH of his foreskin.

25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was CIRCUMCISED in the FLESH of his foreskin.

26 In the selfsame day was Abraham CIRCUMCISED, and Ishmael his son.

27 And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the STRANGER, were CIRCUMCISED with him.

So some very important details we need to pick up is how many times God says MY COVENANT nine times, we see that this is an EVERLASTING COVENANT, and that the token of this covenant was circumcision of the physical FLESH. Now as a gentile believer do we now need to circumcise our physical flesh to become Abraham’s seed and Gods people according to the promise? No, now we see a foreshadowing of what the circumcision is and will be taught throughout the New Testament in Deuteronomy 10 which we will cover in a minute. First lets see exactly where the Gospel was preached to Abraham building off what we read in Genesis 17.

Genesis 22:14-18

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will MULTIPLY THY SEED AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN, and AS THE SAND WHICH IS UPON THE SEASHORE; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18 And IN THY SEED SHALL ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Ok so now we see God making some promises to Abraham: “I will MULTIPLY THY SEED AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN, and AS THE SAND WHICH IS UPON THE SEASHORE; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And IN THY SEED SHALL ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED“. As the stars of heaven, and as the sand upon the seashore is beyond what the physical children of Israel ever produced, so this blessing will go beyond that and thats one of the most beautiful parts of this story. Now the most important wording, IN THY SEED SHALL ALL NATIONS BE BLESSED. So now we pick up with the Gospel story, Through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will come Kings as promised. We see David, Solomon, and through David’s lineage comes Yeshua. Acts 3 tells us how he came to Bless all nations of the earth.

Deuteronomy 10:1-5

10 At that time the Lord said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.

4 And HE wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the TEN COMMANDMENTS, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the DAY OF ASSEMBLY: and the Lord gave them unto me.

5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.

Deuteronomy 10:16

16 CIRCUMCISE therefore the foreskin of your HEART, and be no more stiffnecked.

We needed to go over these verses because it is the foundation of the Covenant and Gospel message. It starts off the chapter by retelling the story of the second set of Ten Commandments being written once again by God himself, then we see for the first time you see the speech of circumcise you heart. Now lets jump to a verse by Paul to have a better understanding of what this means. This is step one of becoming grafted into being Abraham’s seed. As we seen before the token of this Covenant was physical circumcision. Remember the wording DAY OF ASSEMBLY that we just seen and how it ties to the Ten Commandments, this will be important later.

1 Corinthians 7:19

19 CIRCUMCISION is nothing, and UNCIRCUMCISION is nothing, but the keeping of the COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

So now we are gaining more understanding on how to circumcise our heart, and that is by keeping of the Commandments of God, that is the father which is the Ten Commandments. Ok so now lets pick up the story of how all nations will be blessed through his seed and what that truly means.

Acts 3:19-26

19 REPENT ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the PROPHETS, and of the COVENANT GOD MADE WITH OUR FATHERS, saying unto ABRAHAM, And IN THY SEED SHALL ALL KINDREDS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.

26 Unto you first God, having RAISED UP HIS SON JESUS, sent him to BLESS YOU, in TURNING AWAY EVERY ONE OF YOU FROM HIS INIQUITIES.

Acts 3 is a huge part of the story, to connect what the true Gospel is. We learn a few things, one is that Yeshua is the seed that was to come. We see how is came to BLESS US, which is by turning us away from iniquity which is sin, and we define sin as transgression of the law in 1 John 3:4. We see a direct quote in verse 22-23 that will link us to more of the story in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 but first lets touch on very important wording. He says we are children of the Covenant God made with our fathers, lets look at what that Covenant entails.

Deuteronomy 4:13

13 And he declared unto you HIS COVENANT, which he commanded you to perform, even TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Now that we established what the Covenant of our fathers of is, to prove that this is what Yeshua came to bring to the world lets take a look at what Acts 3 was quoting and see what it shows us.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19

15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in HOREB in the DAY OF ASSEMBLY, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

17 And the Lord said unto me, THEY HAVE WELL SPOKEN THAT WHICH THEY HAVE SPOKEN.

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH; and HE SHALL SPEAK UNTO THEM ALL THAT I COMMAND HIM.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak IN MY NAME, I will require it of him.

Ok so now it brings us back to earlier when I said remember DAY OF ASSEMBLY in Deuteronomy 10, and it was the Ten Commandments that pertains to that wording. Now lets focus on the wording “THEY HAVE WELL SPOKEN THAT WHICH THEY HAVE SPOKEN“, we see this in one spot. Deuteronomy is a retelling or second telling to the children of Israel in the land of Moab just before they crossed into the promised land. In Deuteronomy 5 Moses starts out by saying in verse 2 this is the Covenant made in Horeb, we see there are two separate Covenants made as we see in Deuteronomy 29:1, but in chapter 5 he goes on to go over the Ten Commandments with the children who were left of the wilderness. At the end of him retelling the story and the Covenant he gives the wording “THEY HAVE WELL SPOKEN THAT WHICH THEY HAVE SPOKEN“.

Deuteronomy 5:28

28 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: THEY HAVE WELL SAID ALL THAT THEY HAVE SPOKEN.

Now lets touch on a few more prophecies Yeshua fulfilled that were written in Deuteronomy 18 specifically in verse 18 and 19 “PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH; and HE SHALL SPEAK UNTO THEM ALL THAT I COMMAND HIM.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak IN MY NAME, I will require it of him”

John 5:43

43 I am COME IN MY FATHER’S NAME, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 7:16

16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is NOT MINE, but his that sent me.

John 12:49

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Yeshua was prophesied all throughout this book, as stated in Psalm 40 and Hebrews 10 the fullness of the book was written of him. This Gospel can only be fully understood through prophecy. And to validate that we had to look in the writings of Moses to see this we have a few clues in the New Testament.

John 1:45

45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom MOSES IN THE LAW, and the PROPHETS, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 5:46-47

46 For had ye believed MOSES, ye would have believed me; for HE WROTE OF ME.

47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

So from these last two verses we see that there are prophesies written about what he was coming to do not only in the LAW but also in the PROPHETS. Next lets look at one of the most misunderstood verses that also drives this point home with reading the context to see what it really says in Mathew 5:17.

Mathew 5:17-19

17 THINK NOT that I am come to destroy the LAW, or the PROPHETS: I am not come to destroy, but to FULFILL.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till ALL BE FULFILLED.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least COMMANDMENTS, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Ok there is a lot to unpack within these verses that many miss, first off he says THINK NOT as in absolutely don’t think this, that he came to destroy the LAW or the PROPHETS. And says not one jot or title shall pass till all be fulfilled. The last time I checked we still have a heavens and earth. First lets start by defining the word FULFILLED in the Greek and give a deeper meaning from other verses that use the same exact word.

G4137   ( Thayer )
πληρόω
plēroō

Thayer Definition:
1) to make full, to fill up, i.e. to fill to the full
1a) to cause to abound, to furnish or supply liberally
1a1) I abound, I am liberally supplied
2) to render full, i.e. to COMPLETE
2a) to fill to the top: so that nothing shall be wanting to full measure, fill to the brim
2b) to consummate: a number
2b1) to make complete in every particular, to RENDER PERFECT
2b2) to carry through to the end, to ACCOMPLISH, carry out, (some undertaking)
2c) to carry into effect, bring to realisation, realise
2c1) of matters of duty: to perform, execute
2c2) of sayings, promises, PROPHESIES, to bring to pass, ratify, accomplish
2c3) to fulfil, i.e. to cause God’s will (as made known in the law) to be obeyed as it should be, and God’s promises (given through the prophets) to receive fulfilment

So from the definition we see FULFILL doesn’t mean to end, but to FULFILL prophesy, to bring to a fullness. Lets look at couple of other verses that use the same Greek word Pleroo to drive this point home.

Luke 24:25-27

25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the PROPHETS have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at MOSES and all the PROPHETS, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning HIMSELF.

Luke 24:44-45

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be FULFILLED, which were written in the LAW OF MOSES, and in the PROPHETS, and in the PSALMS, concerning me.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES.

Now we see this Pleroo word used again and it is definetly in the use of Fulfilling prophecy about him, but we also see that he was to fulfill prophesies written about him within the Torah, the Prophets, and even the Psalms concerning him. And as he states this will help you understand the scriptures. Now lets to do a verse that many use to fight not to keep the commandments, it actually says the opposite in context and also tells us that we should be looking in the prophets for more of this story. Before we go to the Prophets lets establish the word Pleroo is used for Fulfilling prophecy with a third witness.

John 19:23-24

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be FULFILLED, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

With another witness of the word Fulfill / Plēroō being used in context of fulfilling prophecy I think its save to say we can establish the use of this word in Mathew 5. What John 19 was referencing is a prophecy most Christians should know which is Psalm 22. So lets go back to Mathew 5 to break down verse 19.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least COMMANDMENTS, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Ok so we need to establish what Commandments are being referenced here, is it Commands from the Torah or the Ten Commandments. Lets first look at the Lexicon and find another use from another verse to establish this matter.

G1785   ( Thayer )
ἐντολή
entolē
Thayer Definition:
1) an order, command, charge, precept, injunction
1a) that which is prescribed to one by reason of his office
2) a commandment
2a) a prescribed rule in accordance with which a thing is done
2a1) a precept relating to lineage, of the Mosaic precept concerning the priesthood
2a2) ethically used of the commandments in the Mosaic law or Jewish tradition

Mathew 19:16-22

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have ETERNAL LIFE?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.

18 He saith unto him, WHICH? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no MURDER, Thou shalt not commit ADULTERY, Thou shalt not STEAL, Thou shalt not BEAR FALSE WITNESS,

19 HONOUR THY FATHER AND MOTHER: and, Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THY SELF.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

These are highly important verses to know, the man asks what should he do to inherit ETERNAL LIFE, we should pay attention. Yeshua answers keep the COMMANDMENTS, now we have a second use of the word Entolē with context. The man asks which and Yeshua goes on to list five of the Ten Commandments and gives the second greatest commandment. After this he tells him to sell all he has and follow him, but the man couldn’t because he had great possessions and he walked away sorrowful. What many miss is the tenth commandment is what the man couldn’t keep. He was coveting his possessions. Just because he didn’t list all Ten Commandments does not mean he wasn’t referencing all Ten. Lets make this point with another verse.

James 2:10-11

10 For whosoever shall keep the WHOLE LAW, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

11 For he that said, Do not commit ADULTERY, said also, Do not KILL. Now if thou commit no ADULTERY, yet if thou KILL, thou art become a transgressor of the LAW.

Once again another verse that is misunderstood without reading context and defining words. Many think this means if you break any command from the Torah then you break them all, this is not what the context tells us. First lets define the word LAW, within the New Testament writings its tough to rightly divide this word especially in Paul’s writings. We have to look at context and if it is in a positive context ( Law of God ), or negative context ( Law of Moses ). So lets look at the Lexicon for Nomos ( Law ).

G3551   ( Thayer )
νόμος
nomos
Thayer Definition:
1) anything established, anything received by usage, a custom, a law, a command
1a) of any law whatsoever
1a1) a law or rule producing a state approved of God
1a1a) by the observance of which is approved of God
1a2) a precept or injunction
1a3) the rule of action prescribed by reason
1b) of the Mosaic law, and referring, acc. to the context. either to the volume of the law or to its contents
1c) the Christian religion: the law demanding faith, the moral instruction given by Christ, especially the precept concerning love
1d) the name of the more important part (the Pentateuch), is put for the entire collection of the sacred books of the OT

Ok so now lets define which Law which context of verse 11 which states “11 For he that said, Do not commit ADULTERY, said also, Do not KILL. Now if thou commit no ADULTERY, yet if thou KILL, thou art become a transgressor of the LAW“

He lists the Sixth and Seventh Commandment from the Ten Commandments. So if you break one of the Ten Commandments you break them all, but if you obey the Ten you receive the Spirit of Truth and enter the Kingdom which we will see in these next verses.

Acts 5:32

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the HOLY GHOST, whom God hath given to them that OBEY HIM.

33 When they heard that, they were CUT TO THE HEART, and took counsel to slay them.

If those verses pricked your heart, and is convicting you that you should be keeping the Ten Commandments then its doing its job. Now lets see who enters the Kingdom.

Revelation 22:14-15

14 Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever LOVETH AND MAKETH A LIE.

Acts 24:14-15

14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the LAW and in the PROPHETS:

15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

JOHN THE BAPTIST

Before we go through the prophecies of Yeshua and how that plays into the Gospel, we need to talk about the prophecies regarding John the Baptist, what he was prophesied to do and what is Baptism.

Isaiah 40:3

3 The voice of him that crieth in the WILDERNESS, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Matthew 11:7-13

7 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning JOHN, What went ye out into the WILDERNESS to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

8 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.

9 But what went ye out for to see? A PROPHET? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than JOHN THE BAPTIST: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

13 For all the PROPHETS and the LAW prophesied until John.

14 And if ye will receive it, this is ELIAS, which was for to come.

So the prophecy starts in Isaiah 40, we can see this is plainly fulfilled in his coming, validated by Yeshua. The wording lets us know he is the greatest of all prophets, and that the LAW and the PROPHETS prophesied until John. Does this mean the LAW is done away with and that all prophecies are FULFILLED? No, as we covered in Mathew 5:17-19 earlier thats not what it is saying. They PROPHESIED UNTIL John, there are no new prophets in the sense of who we know spoke to God, or write the biblical texts we have today which are God inspired by his spirit. We are to enter into the work of the prophets, everything is already written. So all prophecies are not even close to being fulfilled, for example Zechariah 14, Jude 1:14, 2 Thessalonians 1, Revelation 19 and really at least a third of the book of Revelation just to mention a few. Lets touch on him calling him the Elias or Elijah to come. This was prophesied, its not physical Elijah but the Spirit.

Malachi 4:4-6

4 Remember ye the LAW OF MOSES my servant, which I commanded unto him in HOREB for all Israel, with the STATUTES and JUDGEMENTS.

5 Behold, I will send you ELIJAH THE PROPHET before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their FATHERS, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Within this prophesy of Elijah coming, It starts out by saying “Remember ye the LAW OF MOSES my servant, which I commanded unto him in HOREB for all Israel, with the STATUTES and JUDGEMENTS“, and this is huge to understanding what John the Baptist came to do and how it plays into the Gospel. Lets take a look at where it is pointing us.

Deuteronomy 5:1-2

5 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the STATUTES and JUDGEMENTS which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

2 The Lord our God made a COVENANT with us in HOREB.

So once again it takes us back to Deuteronomy 5, but this time just before the Ten Commandments are listed. Now this may get confusing because it also speaks of statutes and judgements, when you go through the previous chapter it says three times that statutes and judgements have to be done inside the land, so does the beginning of Deuteronomy 12. Lets go over just one of those verses to establish a seperation from the Covenant and the statutes and judgements.

Deuteronomy 4:9-14

9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in HOREB, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

13 And he declared unto you HIS COVENANT, which he commanded you to perform, even TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon TWO TABLES OF STONE.

HERE’S THE SWITCH

14 And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you STATUTES and JUDGEMENTS, that ye might do them IN THE LAND whither ye go over to possess it.

BAPTISM

So we started this teaching out by showing there were a few mentions on how to become Abraham’s Seed, one of those was being baptized into Messiah. Lets take a look at the verse again as a refresher.

What does it mean to be baptized into Christ? Well John came baptizing with water and Yeshua baptizes with the Spirit. Lets go over Yeshua’s baptism first.

Mathew 3:1-17

3 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, REPENT ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

6 And were BAPTIZED of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore FRUITS MEET FOR REPENTANCE:

9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that GOD IS ABLE OF THESE STONES TO RAISE UP CHILDREN UNTO ABRAHAM.

10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11 I indeed BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER UNTO REPENTANCE. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY GHOST, and with FIRE:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be BAPTIZED OF HIM.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I HAVE NEED TO BE BAPTIZED OF THEE, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was BAPTIZED, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

So John uses very particular wording here, he says to bring “FRUITS MEET FOR REPENTANCE” and that he will “BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER UNTO REPENTANCE“. Ket word is repentance, going back to what he was prophesied to do in Malachi 4, turning the hearts of the children to the fathers. This represents the Covenant of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Ten Commandments are what they are to repent to. You cant know what to repent from unless we define what Sin is. And as stated earlier it is breaking of any of the Ten Commandments. So there is a difference between John’s baptism and the baptism of the Spirit as we see here.

Acts 19:2-8

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the HOLY GHOST since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any HOLY GHOST.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto JOHN’S BAPTISM.

4 Then said Paul, John verily BAPTIZED WITH THE BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE, saying unto the people, that they should BELIEVE ON HIM which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS.

6 And when Paul had LAID HIS HANDS UPON THEM, the HOLY GHOST came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7 And all the men were about twelve.

8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

So repeatedly we hear of John’s baptism being called the “BAPTIZED WITH THE BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE” and Yeshua’s being the baptism of the SPIRIT or FIRE, we learned earlier in Acts 5:32 you only recieve the Holy Ghost if you obey, obey what? We have some very symbolic speech in these last verses. “Paul had LAID HIS HANDS UPON THEM, the HOLY GHOST came on them”. What does this mean? Lets count our fingers, we have Ten, Now think about the commandments and lets read a verse to put it together.

Proverbs 7:2-3

2 Keep my COMMANDMENTS, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

3 BIND THEM UPON THY FINGERS, write them upon the TABLE OF THINE HEART.

This is a deeper level of speech, a very poetic proverb helping to understand the deeper meaning of laying on of hands and circumcising you heart. Its keeping of the Covenant and giving them the Covenant. This is a very spiritual book, with spiritual lessons. Lets look at how even the baptism is spiritual.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4

10 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 And were all BAPTIZED UNTO MOSES in the cloud and in the sea;

3 And did all eat the same SPIRITUAL MEAT;

4 And did all drink the same SPIRITUAL DRINK: for they drank of that SPIRITUAL ROCK that followed them: and that ROCK WAS CHRIST.

As we can see this is all spiritual, Moses didn’t physically dunk Israelites into a wall of water as they passed through the Red Sea, its all spiritual. There is nothing wrong with a physical baptism but if your not washing the inside of the cup by keeping the Commandments your just taking a bath. This is the Life giving water, the water from Horeb which is where the Ten Commandments were given.

THE PROPHETS

Yeshua fulfilled well over 350 prophecies written about him, we have another document called Yeshua in prophecy where we cover some of the most important ones. Here we will just cover a couple that pertains to the Gospel message.

Isaiah 11:1-5

11 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD SHALL REST UPON HIM, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with RIGHTEOUSNESS shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

5 And RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be the girdle of his loins, and FAITHFULNESS the girdle of his reins.

We know this is Yeshua from the prophetic speech also used in Revelation 19. Remember the RIGHTEOUSNESS key word being Gods Ten Commandments from earlier. Remember the part about the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him. That will be important later.

Revelation 19:11-16

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in RIGHTEOUSNESS he doth JUDGE and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

With Revelation 19 validating that was Yeshua, and knowing the RIGHTEOUSNESS key word being tied to the Ten Commandments, seeing that this is how he judges the world Revelation 22:14 makes more sense: “Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city”. So remembering what Gods RIGHTEOUSNESS is, and Isaiah 11 telling us that God is going to put his spirit on Yeshua, lets move on to the next prophecy.

Isaiah 42:1-7

42 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put MY SPIRIT UPON HIM: he shall bring forth JUDGMENT to the GENTILES.

2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall WAIT FOR HIS LAW.

5 Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

6 I the Lord have called thee in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and GIVE THE FOR A COVENANT of the people, for a LIGHT OF THE GENTILES;

7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Isaiah 42:21

“The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will MAGNIFY THE LAW, and make it HONOURABLE.”

So we have more confirmation through prophecy that he is going to bring judgment to the nations as also described in Revelation 19, we see that the isles wait for his law, and that he will be given for a Covenant. This is very important, knowing what the blood of the Lamb atoned for. And who the Covenant will be made with. Lets now go to Jeremiah to see this very important piece.

Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and with the HOUSE OF JUDAH:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; AFTER THOSE DAYS, saith the Lord, I will put my LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, and WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and will BE THEIR GOD, and they shall BE MY PEOPLE.

34 And they shall TEACH NO MORE every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, KNOW THE LORD: for they shall ALL KNOW ME, from the LEAST of them unto the GREATEST of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Many within the Christian church think we are in this New Lawless Covenant, and they are apart of it just by believing on what they call the Finished work on the Cross. As it plainly states this is ONLY made with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL and the HOUSE OF JUDAH. This is why we have to be grafted in to become Abraham’s Seed and aires according to the Promise. With the context of Jeremiah 30 and 31 in prophecy and know the Northern tribes were exiled 722 BC and have not returned yet, dissimulated into the Gentiles to this day as prophesied. Verse 34 states no one will have to teach each other to know the LORD but all shall know him, last time I checked we still have atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims etc. Doesn’t exactly fit the criteria. Before we go through on how to be grafted in lets go over a few precepts of this Covenant most people miss. It says “I will put my LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, and WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS“. Lets see where this happens in prophecy.

Ezekiel 36:19-27

19 And I SCATTERED THEM AMONG THE HEATHEN, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land.

21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the HOUSE OF ISRAEL had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

22 Therefore say unto the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I SPRINKLE CLEAN WATER UPON YOU, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your IDOLS, will I CLEANSE YOU.

26 A NEW HEART also will I give you, and a NEW SPIRIT will I put within you: and I will take away the STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH, and I will give you an HEART OF FLESH.

27 And I will put MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, and cause you to walk in my STATUTES, and ye shall keep my JUDGEMENTS, and DO THEM.

So the last verses starts out speaking about him scattering the House of Israel as he prophesied he would in Deuteronomy 4:27 and Deuteronomy 32:26, he only focuses on the House of Israel for a reason. Because this is when this verse in Jeremiah 31 takes place:

33 But this shall be the COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; AFTER THOSE DAYS, saith the Lord, I will put my LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, and WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and will BE THEIR GOD, and they shall BE MY PEOPLE

Now lets expound more on when this New Covenant takes place with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL and the HOUSE OF JUDAH.

Ezekiel 37:11-27

11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 And shall PUT MY SPIRIT IN YOU, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For JUDAH, and for the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For JOSEPH, the stick of EPHRAIM and for ALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL his companions:

17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of JOSEPH, which is in the HAND OF EPHRAIM, and the TRIBES OF ISRAEL his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of JUDAH, and make them ONE STICK, and they shall be one in mine hand.

20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22 And I will make them ONE NATION in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and ONE KING shall be king to them all: and they shall be NO MORE TWO NATIONS, neither shall they be divided into TWO KINGDOMS any more at all.

23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their IDOLS, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they BE MY PEOPLE, and I will BE THEIR GOD.

24 And DAVID MY SERVANT shall be king over them; and they all shall have ONE SHEPHARD: they shall also walk in my JUDGEMENTS, and observe my STATUTES, and DO THEM.

25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto JACOB MY SERVANT, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my SERVANT DAVID shall be their PRINCE for ever.

26 Moreover I will make a COVENANT OF PEACE with them; it shall be an EVERLASTING COVENANT with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I WILL BE THEIR GOD, and THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

So the New Covenant Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8 speaks of is when the Two Sticks or Houses become One. We are not there yet, It also speaks of David my Servant being king over them forevermore, he will be their Prince forever. This is a prophecy of Yeshua we see here.

Isaiah 9:6

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, 9 ( FROM ) The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The PRINCE OF PEACE.

The word ( FROM ) was added because this is one of the worst translations, prophesied in Jeremiah 8:8 that there would be lying pen of the scribe. The Septuagint and Aramaic Targum do not read with a Trinitarian bias.

MERCY NOT SACRIFICE

Mathew 9:13

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE: for I am not come to call the righteous, but SINNERS TO REPENTANCE.

Yeshua is telling us to go and learn what MERCY not SACRIFICE means but sadly most don’t. Lets see him reference this again in Mathew 12.

Mathew 12:1-5

12 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is NOT LAWFUL to do upon the SABBATH DAY.

3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the SABBATH DAYS the PRIESTS in the temple profane the sabbath, and are BLAMELESS?

6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE, ye would not have condemned the GUILTLESS.

8 For the SON OF MAN is Lord even of the SABBATH DAY.

This time he says if you would have known what MERCY not Sacrifice means you would not have condemned the guiltless. For a break down on why they were guiltless check out the Sabbath Document. Here we wanna focus on MERCY not SACRIFICE, lets search this out.

Hosea 6:6-7

6 For I desired MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE; and the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD more than burnt offerings.

7 But they like men have TRANSGRESSED THE COVENANT: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

So now we see that God himself says that he desires desired MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE, and the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD more than burnt offerings. That is and always been his desire, then he goes on to say BUT they like men have TRANSGRESSED THE COVENANT. Repeatedly through this document we have established that the Ten Commandments are his Covenant. He always wanted Israel to walk in his Covenant from the time it was established at HOREB but before he could even finish writing the Commandments of the Covenant they broke the first two commandments that they had just verbally agreed two by making the Golden Calve. Now lets see what the Mercy of God truly is.

Deuteronomy 7:9-10

9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth COVENANT and MERCY with them that LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS to a thousand generations;

10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

So we see a few things mentioned that go with his Mercy, his covenant, which is his Ten Commandments. So now I want you to think of the Ark of the Covenant, what covers it? The Mercy seat, lets see whats under that seat.

Hebrews 9:1-4

9 Then verily the FIRST COVENANT had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ARK OF THE COVENANT overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the GOLDEN POT THAT HAD MANNA, and AARON’S ROD THAT BUDDED, and the TABLES OF THE COVENANT.

So we see three items under that Mercy Seat, this is in short the Gospel in a box. The two greatest commandments which we will go over in a minute is to Love God which is to keep his Ten Commandments, And Love your Neighbor by rebuking and correcting them if they are in sin. The two tables of stone represent how to Love God, Aarons Rod that budded represents Love your Neighbor as yourself per Leviticus 19:15-18. Aaron’s Rod represents the greatest command pulled out from Leviticus. We are called to be an Holy Priesthood, a peculiar people zealous of these good works. And if we do we receive the Golden Pot of Manna which represents prophecy.

In a minute we will get to the Two Greatest Commandments but first we have to tie in what Gods Mercy has to do with the Gospel and the Promise to Abraham. Lets start with John the Baptist’s father prophecying on this topic. Pay attention to the key words: MERCY, PROMISE, HOLY COVENANT, OATH, ABRAHAM.

Luke 1:67-73

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the MERCY PROMISED to our FATHERS, and to remember his HOLY COVENANT;

73 The OATH which he sware to our father ABRAHAM.

Ok so now its taking us full circle with Gods Mercy being an Oath to Abraham, we see that this was a Promise from God himself. And we now have a name for this Covenant, The Holy Covenant. The Mercy Promised to Abraham fulfilled at Horeb, Psalm 105 gives us the details we need for this story.

Psalm 105:6-10

6 O ye seed of ABRAHAM his servant, ye children of JACOB HIS CHOSEN.

7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

8 He hath remembered HIS COVENANT FOREVER, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

9 Which COVENANT he made with ABRAHAM, and his OATH unto ISAAC;

10 And confirmed the same unto JACOB FOR A LAW, and to Israel for an EVERLASTING COVENANT:

So we see that Psalm 105 is most definitely referencing the same thing that Zacharias was prophesying about, We see that this Holy Covenant is forever, everlasting, will never be done away with. Lets skip down to verses 41 and 42 to pick up more pieces to the story.

Psalm 105:41-42

41 He opened the ROCK, and the WATERS GUSHED OUT; they ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For he REMEMBERED his HOLY PROMISE, and ABRAHAM his servant.

Ok so this story started in Genesis 17 and 22, we seen what God was promising Abraham, but for this promise didn’t fully come to be established until with Covenant with his seed took place. and these verses give us those details. It was at the Rock of Horeb, where Moses opened the Rock, the waters gushed out, where the Ten Commandments of the Holy Covenant were given. Lets look at this event in Exodus.

Exodus 17:6

6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the ROCK IN HOREB; and thou shalt smite the ROCK, and there shall come WATER out of it, that the PEOPLE MAY DRINK. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

So this is the event that Psalm 105 was referencing, what most people dont know is that Mount Horeb and Mount Sinai are two different locations. 6.5 miles apart, once you know this you can rightly divide the scripture. So verbal agreement of the Covenant was given at Horeb, there was a 3 day preparation of the congregation as that leave Rephadim which is where the Rock of Horeb is.

Exodus 19:2-6

2 For they were departed from REPHIDIM, and were come to the desert of SINAI, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and KEEP MY COVENANT, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a KINGDOM OF PRIESTS, and an HOLY NATION. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Israel was called to be a Holy Nation, a Kingdom of Priests but sadly they went after their idols and learned the way of the heathen. Now Peter tells us that we are now all called to this role according to the Gospel.

1 Peter 2:5-10

5 Ye also, as LIVELY STONES, are built up a SPIRITUAL HOUSE, an HOLY PRIESTHOOD, to offer up SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which STUMBLE AT THE WORD, being DISOBEDIENT: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, an HOLY NATION, a PECULIAR PEOPLE; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were NOT A PEOPLE, but are now the PEOPLE OF GOD: which had not obtained MERCY, but now have obtained MERCY.

Once again we see the wording people that were not a people but now are the people of God by obtaining his Mercy. And that is the most important thing to know about this Gospel message. Now lets talk about why Yeshua had to come, why he had to die and what his blood atoned for. This part is where so many get confused and believe in the Trinity is because of Yeshua coming in his fathers name, lets start at Hebrews.

Hebrews 1:1-6

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the RIGHT HAND OF THE MAJESTY ON HIGH:

4 Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

So lets start here, an image is a copy which looks like the original but is not the original. And keep in mind Yeshua came in is Fathers name, power, and authority. Before we continue lets talk about how Israel was married to Yehovah, but he divorced the Northern Tribes for their infidelity as we see in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 3:1-8

3 They say, If a man PUT AWAY HIS WIFE, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the HARLOT WITH MANY LOVERS; yet return again to me, saith the Lord.

2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.

4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?

5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

6 The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding ISRAEL hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding ISRAEL committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a BILL OF DIVORCEMENT; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

So from Jeremiah 3 we see that the Israel went and played with harlot, worshipping pagan dieties, worshipping idols, and learning the way of the heathen as stated in Jeremiah 10. God wrote them a Bill of Divorcement, sent them out of the land. The southern kingdom did the same thing and was exiled to Babylon. Judah came back but the Northern Tribes never did, they were scattered and are until this day among the nations. Now lets pick this story up with Paul in Romans 7…

Romans 7:1-4

7 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that KNOW THE LAW,) how that the LAW hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the HUSBAND BE DEAD, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her HUSBAND BE DEAD, she is FREE FROM THAT LAW; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be MARRIED TO ANOTHER, EVEN TO HIM WHO IS RAISED FROM THE DEAD, that we should bring forth FRUIT UNTO GOD.

Paul starts this chapter out by stating that he is writing to those who KNOW THE LAW, this means you need to know the Torah to know what he is about to teach. We see Torah instructions about marriage and how it pertains to the Gospel, how a woman is bound by the Law of her husband unless the husband be dead. Israel was married to Yehovah, he signed a Bill of Divorcement for them and sent them out of his house or land. As stated that woman or the Northern Tribes can not marry another unless the husband be dead. This is why there is so much confusion with the Trinity doctrine and understanding why Yeshua had to come and die, what his blood atoned for. As we see we will be married to him which was raised from the dead. Lets look at the Torah instructions on this before we expound on this topic.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4

24 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a BILL OF DIVORCEMENT, and give it in her hand, and SEND HER OUT OF HIS HOUSE.

2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.

3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a BILL OF DIVORCEMENT, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the LATTER HUSBAND DIE, which took her to be his wife;

4 Her former husband, which sent her away, MAY NOT TAKE HER AGAIN TO BE HIS WIFE, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the LAND TO SIN, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

God always plays by his own rules as he laid out in the Torah, he doesn’t break his own rules. As we see in Jeremiah 3 he gave a Bill of Divorcement to the House of Israel and sent them out of his house or land. We also see the precept of the woman being loosed from the Law if the latter husband dies, well God cant die so how can Israel be remarried? This is why we went through Hebrews 1 and why it states in John 5:43 that he came in his fathers name, representing his father in every way. His death, and blood atoned for the transgression of Israel, opening up Gods Covenant to the world because of his promise to Abraham and his seed which had been scattered and intermingled with all nations. This is the beauty of Gods plan for Salvation. Which is what Yeshua means is Salvation. God so loved the WORLD that he sent Yeshua, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. But what does believing mean? Lets look at verse 36 of John 3.

John 3:36

36 The one who BELIEVES in the Son has eternal life; but the one who DOES NOT OBEY the Son will not see life, but the WRATH OF GOD remains on him.

So we can see that if we believe in Yeshua, we will Obey Yeshua and if we dont we will not see life and the Wrath of God remains on us. This is not what the church teaches. Lets look at his topic of believing with father Abraham.

Deuteronomy 5:2–5

“The LORD our God made a COVENANT with us in HOREB. The LORD made not this COVENANT with our FATHERS, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire, (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,”…

Romans 4:1-8

4 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

So we see that Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for Righteousness, and as we can see in this next verse he Obeyed God.

Genesis 26:4-5

4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the STARS OF HEAVEN, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED;

5 Because that Abraham OBEYED MY VOICE, and kept my CHARGE, my COMMANDMENTS, my STATUTES, and my LAWS.

So we see God mentioning once again his Promise to Abraham, the Gospel that was preached to Abraham. But we also see that Abraham Obeyed Gods voice, Kept his Charge, his Commandments, Statutes, and Laws. What commandments, statutes, and laws was he keeping since Israel wasn’t formed yet and the Law wasn’t given to Moses yet? Just because it is not listed as to what they were, Im pretty sure it has to do with his commandments knowing that Sabbath was established on the seventh day of creation. Knowing that his commandments have always been his righteousness hence why Abraham’s belief was accounted for Righteousness. Lets look at a few other verses that brings this point home.

1 John 3:7

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOETH RIGHTEOUSNESS is RIGHTEOUS, even as he is RIGHTEOUS.

Deuteronomy 6:25

25 And it shall be our RIGHTEOUSNESS, if we observe to DO ALL THESE COMMANDMENTS before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.

Psalm 119:142

142 Thy RIGHTEOUSNESS is an EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thy law is the truth.

Psalm 119:172

172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy COMMANDMENTS ARE RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Isaiah 51:6

6 but my salvation shall be for ever, and my RIGHTEOUSNESS shall NOT BE ABOLISHED.

Romans 10:1-4

10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for ISRAEL is, that they might be saved.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS, and going about to establish their OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, have not SUBMITTED themselves unto the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.

4 For Christ is the END OF THE LAW for RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that BELIEVETH.

So from these previous verses we can see plainly that Gods Commandments are his Righteousness and it will be accounted to us ass Righteousness if we keep them. His Righteousness will never be abolished as also stated by Yeshua in Mathew 5:17. Now lets talk about Faith, what is it, and how does our faith make us Abrahams seed? Lets start at Hebrews 11.

FAITH

Hebrews 11

11 Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through FAITH we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4 By FAITH Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

5 By FAITH Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

7 By FAITH Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8 By FAITH Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

9 By FAITH he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

11 Through FAITH also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

13 These all died in FAITH, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

17 By FAITH ABRAHAM, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

20 By FAITH Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

21 By FAITH Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.

22 By FAITH Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

23 By FAITH Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

24 By FAITH Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

29 By FAITH they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

30 By FAITH the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

31 By FAITH the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

33 Who through FAITH subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.

34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through FAITH, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

James 2:14-26

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath FAITH, and have NOT WORKS? can FAITH save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so FAITH, if it hath NOT WORKS, is DEAD, BEING ALONE.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast FAITH, and I have WORKS: shew me thy FAITH WITHOUT THY WORKS, and I will SHEW THEE MY FAITH BY MY WORKS.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by WORKS, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how FAITH WROUGHT BY HIS WORKS, and BY WORKS WAS FAITH MADE PERFECT?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, and it was imputed unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that BY WORKS A MAN IS JUSTIFIED, and NOT BY FAITH ONLY.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by WORKS, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the BODY WITHOUT THE SPIRIT IS DEAD, so FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD also.

Two Greatest Commandments

Mark 12:29–31

“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,

Hear, O ISRAEL; The Lord our God is ONE LORD: and

Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy GOD

with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this,

Thou shalt LOVE thy NEIGHBOR as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Love God

When he said Hear, O ISRAEL; The Lord our God is ONE LORD he is quoting a very particular verse. And Judaism is called the Shema. It’s in Deuteronomy 6. Chapter 5 is the Holy Covenant or 10 Commandments. Let’s see what he says after he gave the 10 commandments.

Deuteronomy 5:22

“These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.”

What he’s quoting in Mark 12:29

Deuteronomy 6:4–9

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: and thou shalt LOVE the LORD thy God with all thine HEART, and with all thy SOUL, and with all thy MIGHT. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt TEACH THEM diligently unto thy CHILDREN, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a SIGN upon thine hand, and they shall be as FRONTLETS between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”

1 John5:2–3

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we

LOVE GOD, and keep his COMMANDMENTS. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

1 John2:3–4

“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. He that saith, I know him, and KEEPETH NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS, is a LIAR, and the TRUTH is not in him.”

John 14:15–18

“If ye love me, keep my COMMANDMENTS.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

John 15:10

“If ye keep my COMMANDMENTS, ye shall abide in my LOVE; even as I have kept my Father’s COMMANDMENTS, and abide in his LOVE.”

Love Thy Neighbor

Leviticus 19:15–18

“Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the SAINTS: here are they that keep the COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and the FAITH OF JESUS.”

Revelation 3:10

“Because thou hast kept the WORD of my PATIENCE, I also will keep thee from the HOUR of TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

James 2:7–9

“Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well: but if ye have RESPECT OF PERSONS, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.”

Romans 13:8–10

“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that LOVETH another hath FULFILLED THE LAW. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore LOVE is the FULFILLING OF THE LAW.”

Galatians 5:13–18

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto LIBERTY; only use not liberty for an occasion to the FLESH, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the SPIRIT, and ye shall not fulfil the LUST of the FLESH. For the flesh lusteth against the SPIRIT, and the SPIRIT against the FLESH: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the SPIRIT, ye are not under the LAW.”

How is a Wild Olive branch grafted in?

Ephesians 2:11–15

“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past GENTILES in the FLESH, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having NO HOPE, and WITHOUT GOD in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;”

MIDDLE WALL of PARTITION

A low wall separated the Gentile Court from the Temple enclosure itself. This wall was called, ”Soreq”, in Hebrew, and had thirteen openings in it to allow Jews only to enter from the Gentile Court into the four other courts. No Gentile was permitted past this dividing wall.

Romans 9:3–9

“For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my KINSMEN according to the FLESH: who are ISRAELITES; to whom pertaineth the ADOPTION, and the glory, and the COVENANTS, and the giving of the LAW, and the service of God, and the PROMISES; whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the SEED of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the FLESH, these are not the children of God: but the children of the PROMISE are COUNTED for the SEED. For this is the word of PROMISE, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.”
